Melissa Muir Sutherland

Hello! I’m Melissa, aka Mel Muir Design, an artist and pattern designer reveling in the infinite combinations of shape and color. After working in clay and block printing for years, I began exploring pattern design. Most of my designs are abstract and modern. I love creating eye-pleasing and unusual shapes and color combinations. As a walker of neighborhoods and fields, I really do find inspiration everywhere, from a twisty seed pod to the cracked paint in a crosswalk.
