Pattern Design by Linn Warme

Hey, I’m Karoline, an illustrator and surface designer with a special love for fabric design. My work is shaped by the calm, minimal feel of Scandinavian aesthetics, but I’m just as inspired by lively floral, playful, and folkloric elements from around the world. I enjoy bringing these contrasts together to create patterns with both clarity and character.
Together with my small family, I live and work in Hamburg, Germany. I draw both digitally on the iPad and traditionally with ink on paper, and I really enjoy mixing these methods. Exploring new techniques, shapes, and colors is something that keeps my creative process fresh and fun.
I’ve also been fortunate to design fabrics for children’s clothing as well as larger, cohesive collections for fabric shops and interior-focused textile companies. These projects continue to inspire me and fuel my passion for thoughtful, versatile surface design.

Hi, I’m Linn Warme, a Swedish surface pattern designer and illustrator based in Västerås, Sweden. I have a BA in Textile Art and an MA in Textile Design, and I started out as a pattern designer for some of Sweden’s largest fashion brands before moving into freelance work and running my own studio.
My style moves between hand-drawn detail and bolder digital work, always with production in mind. I’m endlessly inspired by nature, especially the Swedish forest and the shifting seasons we have here. I love turning those small details into prints that feel full of life.
I’ve also collaborated with Moda Fabrics, creating fabric collections for quilters and makers. I’m currently open to licensing, commissions, and collaborations so feel free to reach out.

Melanie Miles
Australian Illustrator & Surface Pattern Designer based in Melbourne

I’m an Australian illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Melbourne. My work often starts in my sketchbook or as small hand-painted pieces, which I develop into patterns for fabric and everyday products. I enjoy working with botanicals, colour and simple, expressive shapes. I’ve created designs for textiles, homewares and licensed collaborations, and I’m currently developing new pattern collections for fabric and product applications.

Hi! I’m Brittany! I’m a surface pattern designer who loves turning everyday moments in nature into art for fabric, wallpaper, home décor, and more! Think painterly botanicals, dreamy florals, and the occasional intricate sketch that sneaks in when I’m feeling extra detailed. My style is like a nature walk with a boho, vintage twist. My work is earthy, a little whimsical, and always inspired by the outdoors.
I grew up in rural Idaho, so muted colors, wildflowers, and wide-open skies are kind of my thing. I’m all about creating patterns that feel cozy, lived-in, and a little nostalgic. Whether it’s a bold floral or a subtle texture, my designs are made to bring warmth and personality to the spaces you love most.

Hello! My name is Sue Gibbins, a British designer also known as Rocket & Indigo. Before moving into the creative world I worked in science and later as a scuba instructor. Those experiences nurtured my love of nature and colour, which are the threads that still run through much of my work today. I’m inspired by plants, animals, and memories from tropical places, to create surface pattern designs in a style that’s both whimsical and refined.
My portfolio includes playful prints as well as more decorative and grounded pieces. Designs have featured on home décor, accessories, children’s clothing, and quilting collections, for clients such as Alice & Ames and Cloud9 Fabrics. In recent years, I’ve also been creating more work for interiors, helping designers and decorators to bring character and warmth to residential and commercial spaces.
If you’d like to explore my collections, request bespoke colours, or chat about licensing opportunities, feel free to visit my website and get in touch. You’re also very welcome to join my newsletter and follow along with what I’m creating.

I’m Carly and I’m an Illustrator and Surface Pattern Designer based in Cheshire, UK. I have created art and patterns for brands like Auzou & Illumicrate – my favourite project so far has been a beautiful advent calendar with a spinning crystal ball on the cover! I love to create mystical and magical patterns, and illustrations featuring cats, of course! I also run my own small Etsy shop, selling handmade cat-themed stationery, such as illustrated notebooks, and sticker sheets.

Hi, I’m Chi! I’m a surface pattern designer based in Los Angeles. My days are spent dreaming up prints for everything from scarves and bags to throw pillows and tea towels. I’m drawn to vibrant colors and playful details, and I can’t resist weaving a little story into each pattern. Maybe that’s the influence of my motion graphics background sneaking in. Inspiration pops up everywhere, but especially in the cheerful corners of children’s books and the happy surprises I collect on my daily hikes. I hope each doodle and splash of color brings a bit of “good Chi” and warmth to your day. When I’m not lost in my sketchbook, you’ll probably find me in the kitchen baking banana muffins or pizzelles for my family. This little routine fills my home with sweetness and often finds its way into my designs too.

I am a pattern designer and illustrator originally from the US now living in the Netherlands. I love drawing floral patterns the most, but I mix it up with geometric art-deco prints and fun nature scenes. I’ve been lucky to work with a number of apparel, home and beauty, and book companies over the years; but you can mainly find my work on wallpaper and fabric. I’m constantly picking up new hobbies; my current obsession is painting intricate designs on pottery, but I also love embroidery, sewing projects, punch needle, and painting.
