Tyson Bodnarchuk is a Canadian artist known for his whimsical and imaginative illustrations and animations. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, he made the move to Montreal, Quebec in 2003. There he took advantage of the rich art scene happening at the time and to run his own art gallery, Headquarters.

In 2019, Tyson made the move to Toronto, Ontario to take in new art scenes and soak in new inspirations. Tyson’s work often features playful characters and surreal scenes that evoke a sense of nostalgia and wonder. He has developed a distinctive style that blends elements of folk art with modern influences, creating pieces that are both charming and refreshing.

Tyson’s illustrations have been featured in various exhibitions, publications, and commercial projects. He often works with mixed media, incorporating traditional drawing techniques with digital elements to bring his unique visions to life. His art has a broad appeal, resonating with both children and adults who appreciate the magical and fantastical elements in his work.

In addition to his illustration work, Tyson is also involved in the local art community, participating in events and collaborating with other artists. His contributions to the art scene in Montreal, Toronto and beyond has established him as a notable figure in contemporary illustration.

Notable projects and collaborations include Topps Trading Cards, The UFC, Osheaga Music Festival, Cirque du Soliel, Ford and STM Montreal. Currently, Tyson has been providing animated loops for musicians Danny Miles of July Talk, Shad, Saukrates, Agapito and others.
