My inspiration comes mainly from my walks and bike rides through the meadows of the Netherlands. Here, there is water everywhere and I am particularly fascinated by water flora and fauna.
I also find inspiration in poetry and descriptions of landscapes in stories. Interior design fascinates me and when I create my prints I look for a timeless design that turns a room into an oasis of calm.
My 3 daughters often draw with me in my studio. A white paper never stresses them out. They immediately start to doodle with markers and the result is always fantastic. I think we as artists can learn something from this.
