Carey Copeland

Hello! I’m Carey, an artist and surface pattern designer from Chicago, IL, U.S. I work in a variety of mediums, but I’m especially drawn to digital and watercolor painting. Inspired by nature and vintage folk art, my work often features whimsical compositions, organic shapes, and unexpected color combinations.
I have a BFA from the University of Notre Dame, with a background in graphic design and packaging — experience that continues to shape my creative approach to illustration and surface pattern design. One of my greatest joys is creating artwork that adds new life and beauty to everyday products. Some of my recent work can be found at Target, Wayfair, Kate & Laurel, and DENY Designs.
