At one point I called myself liusir (loser), a really self-deprecating moniker. After being laid off and a snail mail incident (that involved feelings, ghosting, and a fall out), I definitely felt like a lost loser. So I decided it was time to change my story and moniker to liucid- it was me striving for clarity and what underlies that is the ability to connect. This was liucid 1.0
Fast forward to 2020 and I’m now in the phase of liucid 2.0- brought on because I had quit my job and had faced another impactful fall out- similar to the first yet different in many ways. (very vague, I know) Keep shining is the extension of being liucid. It’s about light and the desire to keep shining despite the circumstances.
For this piece, I was inspired by the moon because the analogies and metaphors that come forth carry so much power and parallel to life. The moon, like us, goes through phases. It doesn’t always shine as bright, sometimes it’s covered. But in the darkness, it’s still there. It still shows up regardless.
TL;DR Be like the moon. Keep shining through. You won’t see the darkness if there’s light, because where there is light, darkness can not exist. So keep shining, your spark sparks others.
