Jill McDonald is an author, illustrator, and surface designer based in Kansas City, Missouri.
Jill studied textile design at the Rhode Island School of Design many moons ago. She is inspired by animals, flowers, words, and machines! She loves bright color and little details you may not notice the first time. Jill starts her art out by hand then scans the beginning in & continues to build texture, and details, digitally. She is the author, and illustrator of the popular early learning books series, Hello, World! Innately curious, she enjoys learning new things about science and nature.
Jill has years of experience licensing and selling her art which has been on a vast array of products. Here are just a few: fabric, gift wrap, puzzles, kids’ bedding, apparel, cards, wallpaper, and of course books!
