Hi! My name is Wendy Denissen, and I’m an illustrator based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
In my illustrations, you’ll find lots of chunky figures—creatures you’d want to cuddle and characters you’d like to be friends with. I love playing with surprising perspectives, fresh colors, and organic shapes. My favorite subjects include animals, food, sex, and everyday life. With my work, I aim to appeal to both children and adults. I like to make work that resonates with people. My stylized illustrations have a contemporary feel.
In recent years, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, such as a children’s book about the artist Marc Chagall, various illustrations for food and drink magazines, cover art illustrations for a language magazine, and illustrations about sex for a young adult book.
