Tuomas Kärkkäinen is a Helsinki-based illustrator working primarily within editorial illustration and children’s books. Some characteristics of his work are off-beat sense of humour, social commentary and playful colours and shapes. Tuomas likes to twist and stretch the bodies of the characters who reside his illustrations – hopefully they don’t mind!
Tuomas has worked with almost all of the most important Finnish magazines and newspapers, and quite a few of the publishing houses as well, so he is eagerly looking forward to working with international clients, too.
