Hello, my name is Susse Linton, and I am an illustrator, surface pattern designer, and educator from Scotland, currently based in Sweden.
Ever since childhood, I have loved creating greeting cards. Today, I design and license my illustrations and surface patterns to giftware and greeting card companies around the world.
I have a small range of cards and gifts for sale online at the Susse Collection shop
My artwork is always cute, happy, and playful, intended to add fun to people’s day. I love using bright colours, and lots of animals feature in my art work. My inspiration comes from my travels, nature, and vintage books.
I am always at my best when creating conversational patterns. I enjoy crafting patterns and collections that resemble mini-stories.
My past projects have included creating animations for e-cards, as well as licensing my artwork for use in home decor, kids’ products, and fabric. I have also worked with trend companies, such as Trend Bible.
I recently licensed my designs to American Greetings, Joann, and Calypso Cards.
My designs have been featured in books published by Uppercase Magazine and the Print and Pattern.
I teach surface pattern design online through Skillshare and in-person workshops. I co-taught a series of live workshops at the IKEA Museum with another pattern designer, using analog techniques to create patterns. Participants’ ages ranged from 9 to 92, showing that anyone can enjoy learning to make beautiful patterns.
Visit my website and say hello if you are interested in commissioning me for freelance work or exploring licensing opportunities.
My licensing portfolio is represented by Hannah Curtis at Creative Sparrow.
