Hello! My name is Sue Krizman, and I am the face behind Blue Bee Studios. I’m based in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, where family, friendship, and community are deeply woven into the hard-working fiber of the midwestern US.
Throughout my career as an art director, artist and designer, I have always found myself cultivating ways to create community and nurture connections to the natural world. I made the segue into surface pattern design when I realized that my happiest moments were while creating the right feeling or “visions” for my clients.
I have found surface patterns to be the perfect muse for exploring the natural world without limits or constraints. You will find that my work ranges from detailed, layered complexity, to tranquil edited simplicity. While at times expressive and loose, other times, refined and controlled. I am available for custom work, or you can contact me to license my designs.
