Sarah Farquhar is a Canadian editorial and commercial illustrator who studied illustration at OCAD University in Toronto Ontario where she currently resides. She is best known for her eclectic character design, bold colour palettes, and dynamic, elongated compositions. Sarah has worked for clients like The New York Times, The Globe & Mail, Reader’s Digest, Porter Airlines and more.
Her work is largely digital and occasionally hand-drawn. It often has a retro feel with modern influence. She is inspired by mid century illustration styles due to the subtle textures and flat colour blocking. Sarah is currently working on incorporating art teaching and children’s book illustration into her creative endeavors.
