I am Patrizia Widritzki – PAT – a creative director, illustrator, and exhibition designer from Cologne, Germany with a specific goal: to make the world a little less dumb again (and fair).
Making knowledge easily accessible, also with the help of illustrations, is one of my great passions. Therefore I founded – together with Kristine Fester – the exhibition agency „Good to Know “ to follow my personal and professional aspiration: to design spaces that enable social participation, learning, amazement, and an understanding of social issues.
Illustration plays an increasingly important role in my creative work and allows my clients to visualize messages in an emotional and heart-grabbing way.
My style is free and arty, showing wild strokes, contrasting colours, and unconventional arrangements. And: I love textures and all my illustrations use self-created textures to make the visuals lively and ‘imperfect’. They all have their own patina and seem to flutter and shimmer.
I specialize in editorial and exhibition illustration, and non-fiction illustration, and ready for anything related to design.
