Parapaboom is the alter-ego illustration project of Italian-born illustrator Vanessa Branchi. She’s based between Italy and the UK and has been working in the industry for more than a decade.
The world of Parapaboom spans from editorial to books, packaging, and greeting cards. Her colourful world, built of geometric shapes and rich colours, is inspired by the early 20th Century art movement Futurism. All her illustrations are hand-drawn and retain a handmade feeling, that gives the designs a very personal and accessible touch.
When she’s not eating pizza, you can find Vanessa crafting colourful hanging paper figurines and creating playful characters and compositions with wood.
