Hi, I’m Melissa and I’m a Surface Pattern Designer and Illustrator from the South Coast, UK.
I create joyful and whimsical art inspired by flora, nature and food predominantly. I love to make intricate and ethereal patterns underpinned by my love of colour and texture. I work digitally in Procreate and Photoshop and can produce high quality outcomes for brands which are playful and exciting.
My work has an often abstract feel which adds a quality whereby traditional themes become something different and unique.
I have a proven track record of delivering work for a range of brands which make a strong statement, and I am available for freelance commissions and licensing opportunities. I have licensed my designs for stationary and greetings cards, wall art, tech accessories, wallpaper and have provided illustrations for fashion accessories, packaging design and most recently a cookbook cover.
With a degree in Fashion Design, I would love to work with apparel and fabric brands and seek further opportunities to apply my designs to a wide range of products.
