I am Jill Tran. I am a Vietnamese illustrator based in Brighton, UK. My creative journey has unfolded across continents, shaped by the textures, rhythms, and contrasts of between East and West. As an illustrator, I move fluidly between digital and traditional mediums—often working with pencil and sumi ink—to create images that echo both memory and reinvention.

My style leans into surreal minimalism: clean compositions layered with intricate patterns and symbolic detail. Each work is concept-driven and carefully curated, often exploring abstract or editorial themes with emotional and aesthetic depth. Whether I’m developing a mural or a digital illustration, craftsmanship is at the heart of my practice—every element is hand-rendered, even when working digitally.

Recently shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards, I’m passionate to continue blending curiosity, craft, and cultural depth into every collaboration.
