I am Ilona, a Finnish illustrator, children’s book author, and graphic designer. Additionally, I create artworks for public spaces in different mediums. As an illustrator, my style and technique vary from simple digital line drawings to detailed gouache paintings. I strive to tell stories through my illustrations, and I am fascinated by symbolism with subtle or not-so-subtle hints. I love to adapt my expression to meet the client’s needs, customizing the illustration to suit the specific context and message.
In my personal projects, I enjoy playing and being more spontaneous, skills I’m aiming to incorporate more into my commissioned work. I love experiencing new things.
