Gemma Terol is a graphic designer and illustrator from Barcelona. She combines her graphic design work at MMMM Studio with more personal illustration, consistently depicting scenes and objects from everyday life. She has worked on social and cultural projects with clients such as the newspaper El País, the project The Barcelonian, Barcelona en Comú, Editorial Planeta, Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Penguin Random House, and the Girona Museum of Art, among others.
Her creations are almost always in red and blue—recently with a touch of yellow—and she very often uses nautical stripes. When she moves into the ceramic format, she enjoys discovering characters in cups, teapots, or jugs bought at street markets and giving them a second life. She also tells stories on plates and mobiles that are handmade and hand-painted.
