Hi, I’m Gabriella, a Hungarian freelance illustrator and visdev artist from Budapest, Hungary.
I have worked as a graphic designer and art director for over 15 years on an array of projects from commercial advertising to tattoo design, and in recent years transitioned into illustration with a focus on children’s publishing, character design, and picture books. I’m fascinated by human connection and emotions, folktales, character and costume design, nature with all its creatures, the magical and the mundane, and of course, picture books of all sorts.
My process is a hybrid one: I move between the wonderful mess of hand-drawing and the practical possibilities of digital, using whatever best serves the project and supports my art supply addiction.
