Hello! My name is Ammie Gomez, and I am a Surface Designer and illustrator based in California. I’m also a high school art teacher, dog mom and enjoy walks by the lake.
Art has been a lifelong passion of mine since early childhood, I was always drawing and painting in my spare time. I started my artistic journey as a graphic designer but then discovered surface design a few years later and fell in love with it. Since then, I have been passionately crafting patterns that bring me joy and showcase my love for color and design.
I absolutely love seeing my designs out in the world for others to enjoy in their home, as apparel, or even as kitchen tea towels. I would describe my style as whimsical and playful, inspired by things I enjoy and find interesting. I often find myself drawn to nature, animals, and food elements in my patterns. My work recently has included more texture and has a hand-drawn touch
