Hello! I’m Alana, a Michigan-based surface designer and the artist behind Nalani Jones. With an emphasis on florals, my work can be characterized as bold and romantic with vibrant and exploratory color palettes. A former graphic designer, I have since dedicated all of my creative efforts to surface design and illustration. The majority of my art begins with hand-drawn sketches inspired by nature, global textile design, or vintage ephemera.
