Hello! I’m Prashanti, an illustrator, animator, and director based in London. I’ve moved around all my life, which has left me with a deep curiosity about my identity, culture, and belonging. This curiosity plays a big part in my work, in both my personal illustrations and animations. My Indian heritage in particular sits at the heart of a lot of my work.
I enjoy depicting the quieter, everyday moments and adding my own warmth and play to them, especially concerning the female experience and South Asian culture. I work across illustration and animation for clients like BBC, Amazon Prime and TED-Ed. I’m also obsessed with beans – all legumes really. I’ve just started a whole Instagram page dedicated to drawing beans, so if you’re a beans fanatic too, let me know because the beans enthusiast pool has been pretty small as far as I know!
